Save Money
This graph illustrates how much you could save with a Kronos membership of platinum double-edged blades (1,2), delivered to your doorstep.
Non-Proprietary
Alternatively, you can get blades from most supermarkets and pharmacies. They're not as high quality, but ultimately you're free to choose because safety razors use non-proprietary blades (3). Here is a comparison of how much buying replacement blades exclusively from boots would cost you over 5 years.
Less Irritation
According to the British Association of Dermatologists (2021), using a razor with a single blade reduces pseudofolliculitis (ingrown hairs and bumps). (4)
This is corroborated by Dr Norwood (2016), who suggests:
"Multiple-blade razors that cut the hair at skin level or just below the skin’s surface should be avoided." (5)
