Will I cut myself?

Less than you'd fear. The blade's corners (the part that catches) sit tucked away, so only the safe edge meets skin. With the right technique it forgives from the off: a slower first week, we won't pretend otherwise, then second nature.

Frequent Questions

What does the Corinthian Ritual Set include?

The razor, a shaving brush, the large stand that holds both, fifty blades, two Sandalwood shaving soaps and a Sandalwood cream, in bamboo or chrome. Choose the Corinthian Order with it and a wooden shaving bowl and a blade bank come with our compliments.

Does the Corinthian Ritual Set come with a blade bank and shaving bowl included?

Only through the Corinthian Portico: the blade bank and wooden bowl arrive with our compliments as part of that membership, not with a one-off purchase of the set alone.

How does the Corinthian Portico refill relate to the Ritual Set?

The set is yours to keep. The Corinthian Order then resupplies it, fifty blades, two soaps and a cream at a time, with delivery on the House, and you can pause it whenever you like.

“You wonder why you've been using 5 blades held together with plastic when one does the job as well, if not better. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Welcome back to the 70s.”

Written by Ivan S.

“My neck used to look like it was covered in molehills. Take your time, don't rush, and now there's nothing. A fantastic shave, and it looks great on the side too.”

The First Shave

A safety razor asks a little more of you than a cartridge. For the first week you'll go slower, then it becomes second nature, and the shave is better for it.

Let the weight work

No pressure means no nicks. The weight is enough.

Use short strokes

Short, gentle passes, skin held taut.

Take your time

Five unhurried minutes. That is rather the point.

And if it isn't for you: 100 days to send it back, and a lifetime guarantee, blades for pennies, if you keep it.

The Anatomy

Considered, Piece by Piece

I - An enclosed head

The blade's corners sit shielded, so it forgives as you learn. Nicks designed out.

II - One blade

What barbers have used for centuries. Less drag, calm skin.

III - Balanced weight

Solid, water-resistant bamboo. You guide; it shaves.

IV - A drying stand

Elevates the blade between shaves, so it lasts longer.

The Corinthian Ritual Set is a shaving set built in solid metal and turned wood: a razor, a brush, a stand, fifty blades, two soaps, and a cream, all sized to be passed down instead of replaced, and all built around the same single blade that takes a short week or two to master.

A razor, a brush, a stand, fifty blades, two soaps, and a cream make up the complete set in one shipment. Everything in it is solid metal or turned wood, the same materials the razor alone is built from, which is what makes it a luxury shaving kit rather than a padded-out box of extras.

Choosing the Corinthian Order, the fullest of the three Kronos refill Orders, brings a wooden shaving bowl and a blade bank with it, with our compliments, and keeps the set stocked with razor blades going forward. The set works without joining an Order; joining one simply keeps it topped up.

Like any single-blade Kronos razor, it is forgiving from the first shave, honest about the short curve, and second nature within a week or two. Solid metal and turned wood do not wear out the way a cartridge razor's plastic head does, and the Registry entry each Kronos razor carries stays with the object no matter who ends up using it.
